The Old Building--a restored 75-year-old building, originated as the R & H Grocery Store, owned by Roy and Herman Plessala. The Old Building features 20-foot high pitched, original wooden ceilings restored, a staircase built through the original dumb waiter, a warming area, indoor/outdoor bar, mezzanine
seating, second-story terrace all to play a role as an elegant host for momentous occasions. Enjoy a view of the Atchafalaya River from the second-story terrace on a beautiful day, or under the stars and string lights, along with a walk a few feet away from the river. Meet Colleen
My name is Colleen Nicklas Askew, and I am the owner of The Old Building with my husband Carter. We have 4 children, Abigail 27, Andrew 24, Adam 23, and Aaron 19.
